New Product Updates and Bulk Lumber Specials

Welcome to the new newsletter function from MapleLeaf Hardwoods and Curlymaple.com! It’s been a busy month so I’m going to get right into it. I put up a lot of nice material this month. Lots of beautiful Curly Black Walnut in a variety of thicknesses. Posted a lot of really beautiful 4/4 and 8/4 Curly Maple. A ton of Odds and Ends selections, as well as some Curly Yellow Birch, Curly White Oak, some thick Curly Cherry, and some hot Luthier selections as well. For all the guitar enthusiasts out there I have some quarter-sawn hard maple neck blanks in both standard and bass length AND in regular hard maple and “roasted” hard maple as well. I also put up some 12/4 Curly Silver Maple listings you may want to check out. That stuff doesn’t have a ton of figure but it’s inexpensive and would be great for those of you who like to turn bowls and whatnot. I only got up a handful of listings but I have quite a bit of it in widths all the way up to 16” wide!

Discount Bulk Lumber:

I have a large variety of AIR Dried lumber that I can offer at deeply discounted prices. This lumber is all around 14% moisture content and has been stored in a temperature controlled building. I’m selling this lumber by the pack for the most part. The material is all in the rough/unsurfaced, random widths of generally 5” to 11” and packs are generally 10’ in length. - 4/4 Curly Cherry - I’m selling this in 200 board foot lots for $3.25 a board foot. I have several thousand board feet available. Pack lengths are 7/8’, 9/10’. Example picture of one of the packs is at the bottom of the newsletter. The material is at least 90% heartwood one face and the majority of it is heartwood two face.

- 4/4 Curly Soft Maple - I have 4 packs available that are approximately 300bf, 400bf, 450bf, and 500bf this material is $2.65 a board foot. These packs are all 8-10’ in length. This material is generally medium figure content and would be great for paneling. Example picture of two of the packs is at the bottom of the newsletter. This material is 100% sapwood one face with the majority of the packs being heartwood two face.

- Unfigured Red Oak - A approximately 350 board foot pack for $2.50 a board foot. This is an 8’ pack.

- Unfigured Wormy Red Oak - A approximately 200 board foot pack for $2.10 a board foot. This material has some small worm holes throughout it. This is a 9/10’ long pack.

- Unfigured Wormy Cherry - A approximately 250 board foot pack for $2.10 a board foot. This material has small worm holes throughout it. This is an 7/8’ long pack.

- Unfigured White Oak - A approximately 200 board foot pack for $2.25 a board foot. This is a 10’ long pack.
