Seasons greetings from Curlymaple.com! The end of the year is winding down and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for continuing to support my business. We’ve had another great year and have shipped out over 35,000 lbs of material through FedEx to each of you all over the world. From the smallest Odds & Ends piece to a 100 book-matched sets to a truck load of material, I’m very appreciative of each of you providing me the opportunity to source beautifully figured material.

On the note of shipping, shipping costs continue to rise and I’m doing what I can to keep them reasonable. In January I’ll be going back to the negotiating table in a effort to get lower and more reasonable rates like I do every year. In general, if your shipment can be kept to under 4’ in length and less than 50lbs the cost will be less than longer and heavier shipments. There is always exceptions and I will always do what I can to get you the lowest shipping cost that I can. If you ever want to purchase something and the shipping cost is too high for your wallet, please get in touch with me and I’ll see what I can do to get the cost down.

Below you will find some new material updates and there are a few things you should check out! I put up some beautiful curly cherry selections in 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4. The 5/4 and 6/4 selections have some wide widths with some of them having really gorgeous figure. Also, I also put up some gorgeous selections of blistered and quilted white ash in the Luthier section. As some of you may know, Ash is all but extinct here in the North East from the Emerald Ash Bore beetle so these are truly a rare and beautiful find!
